The National Board of Mothers is made up of a select group of Moms from across the country who watch and grade each film before it is considered for inclusion in Family Values Cinema’s library of outstanding family films.
The goal of Family Values Cinema is to ensure that every film we select to send to your family meets the very highest standards of quality and contains messages and themes which are positive and reinforce old-fashioned values and morals. To meet this objective, Patty Leonard, a founding member of The National Board of Mothers, developed a rigorous triple-filter review process designed to guarantee that all films offered to members meet these strict criteria. For that reason, any movie which receives less than the highest grade from even one Mom of The National Board is removed from consideration before the next round of the review process. This ensures you can feel confident that when your kids sit down to watch a movie from Family Values Cinema, they are watching a wholesome and uplifting film which teaches and reinforces positive values and morals.
Our Review Mom of the Month - Pam from Palm Bay, FL
I am so happy with FVC as a means to enjoy wholesome, good quality movies with my entire family of children ranging in ages from 11-17 years. It is such a relief to not have to walk my children, or myself, past the graphic movie covers within the video stores and FVC eliminates the time consuming hunt for those rare gems not only appropriate for all involved but interesting as well.
We gave up cable tv when we decided to homeschool 5 years ago, which brought such peace to our household but left us with the burden of providing good quality films that wouldn not leave anyone out due to content.
I love the discussion guides as a way to continue thinking about and discussing what we have viewed instead of it being out of sight, out of mind. The fact that FVC lets us keep all of our movies to enjoy again and again is a bonus!
Reviewing films for FVC has been an interesting way to become more involved in using the television (instead of it using us!) as a means of purposeful entertainment. It is very difficult to do so as children grow older and busier in the world, and FVC makes it a breeze to do so on a regular basis without any effort. It is such a gift to trust an outside source to bring us such purposeful, family entertainment.
