The following are answers to commonly asked questions regarding participation in our Affiliate Program. All information contained on this page is subject to the terms of the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program.
Who can participate and how much does it cost?
Any family friendly organization can submit an application to participate. We review each and every potential Affiliate Web site before accepting it into our affiliate program. We do reserve the right to refuse a site if it contains objectionable material, including pornography, explicit language or content, or support for violent groups. (Affiliate Inquiry )
What does it cost to join?
There is NO CHARGE required to become an affiliate partner. It's absolutely free to join the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program. You are free to cancel at any time.
How much and how often will I receive a commission?
Affiliate will receive 10% of net revenue for all qualified new subscribers they send to Family Values Cinema. Net Revenue is defined as Gross Sales minus returns, cancellations, discounts and shipping costs. Commissions are paid quarterly.
How can I get RSS Feeds to movie pages that allow me to get paid for the referrals I send?
Currently, RSS Feeds to our movie pages are not embedded with codes that enable affiliate referral tracking. At present time, you must send referrals through our current landing page (our homepage) in order to receive a referral fee.
Do I get a commission for each month that a member I referred continues to be a FVC subscriber?
Yes!!
Do my visitors have to subscribe to Family Values Cinema right away in order for me to get credit?
No. When your visitors come to FamilyValuesCinema.com, we place a cookie on their computer showing that you referred them to us. Even if they subscribe at a later date, we still credit you for sending them to us. As long as you are still an active affiliate, we will pay you commissions for these visitors.
What is considered a qualified new subscriber?
A qualified new subscriber is a subscriber who: 1) Joins Family Values Cinema as a paying member as a result of performing a search or getting to FamilyValuesCinema.com from an affiliate site; and 2) Does not cancel his or her account during any free trial period and/or discounted first month.
How easy is it to use this as a fundraiser?
The Family Values Cinema program is such an easy fundraiser to use. Once you are an approved affiliate, you will be contacted by our affiliate manager to show you how simple it is to get started by using our banners, text links and other tools we provide for you. Subscriptions are placed online and we do the rest. It's that easy!
I don't live in the U.S. or Canada. Can I still be an affiliate?
It is possible to become an affiliate if your site is managed outside North America. However, you must provide substantial evidence that your web site has a sizeable U.S. audience since only U.S. or Canadian residents are eligible to become FVC Members. International affiliates are required to complete U.S. tax forms. Any payment(s) made to your company will be subject to U.S. tax withholdings in accordance with the tax treaty between the U.S. and your country.
I don't have a website. Can I still join the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program?
Yes, but only in certain cases. If you have an e-zine or a newsletter you can send an email request to affiliatemanager@familyvaluescinema.com along with a sample of your work and the program manager will review your situation.
What if my Web site is not completed yet, or is "under construction"?
If your Web site is not completed yet or "under construction," your application will not be accepted for review. Please apply for the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program when your Web site has been fully completed.
Where do I get the links to put on my web site? Can I make my own links?
We provide you with all the links and images to be used on your site. They can be accessed through our tool box in your Family Values Cinema login account once you have been admitted into our affiliate program. We do not authorize the creation and use of your own links and images to promote our service. If you have special needs, we can discuss alternatives with you or you can email your request to affiliatemanager@familyvaluescinema.com.
May I link to FamilyValuesCinema.com from more than one site?
Yes. You are welcome to place links to FamilyValuesCinema.com from multiple sites. All we ask is that you notify us at affiliatemanager@familyvaluescinema.com so that we can add the additional site to your account. Each site you place the Family Values Cinema affiliate links must conform to the Terms and Conditions of the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program.
What kind of advertising is prohibited?
Unsolicited e-mail (i.e. spam) is prohibited. Any case of unsolicited e-mail will result in immediate termination of your affiliate account, as well as forfeiture of any commissions. Spam will not be tolerated in any way. Any copy not approved by the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Manager is prohibited as well. For approval, contact us at affiliatemanager@familyvaluescinema.com.
Can I use email of newsletters to promote FVC?
Yes, but Family Values Cinema must approve all copy in writing in advance of the publication.
How do you keep track of how many referrals I have made?
Each Family Values Cinema link on your site has a special tracking code that records when a customer has clicked through to our site and has signed up for our service.
Whom do I contact if I need assistance with my affiliate account?
Can I bid on keywords for search advertising purposes?
No, you may not bid on keywords, unless you have written permission from Family Values Cinema in advance. In addition, bidding on the Family Values Cinema trademark or any misspellings of our trademark is strictly prohibited at all times. You may not use the trademark in your URL or in copy.
I need to change my address. How do I do that?
Login to your Family Values Cinema Affiliate account and change it there. Also, send the information that needs to be updated (your e-mail address, your URL, etc.) to the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program at affiliatemanager@familyvaluescinema.com.
What are my responsibilities as a Family Values Cinema Affiliate?
The following are required of all Family Values Cinema Affiliates: 1) Accept and abide by all Terms and Conditions of the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program and Family Values Cinema e-mail Affiliate Program. 2) Keep all account information current. Family Values Cinema is not responsible for lost checks due to invalid mailing addresses. 3) Keep your links to Family Values Cinema current. 4) Register all sites that will contain a Family Values Cinema Affiliate Link with the Family Values Cinema Affiliate Program team.
Will our information be made available to any outside parties?
No, absolutely not! We will never share, sell or rent your information with anyone without your advance written permission.
Can I stream samples of video from your library of titles on my web site?
Due to copyright laws, no titles in our library are available to be shown (either in part or in entirety) on any of our affiliates' sites. What can I do if I have a question that is not addressed here?
